The predominant language of the region is Hindi. Due to the rule of Marathas, Marathi is spoken by a substantial number of people. It borders the states Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat. It comprises of 50 districts, which are grouped into ten divisions. Anuppur, Ashoknagar and Burhanpur are the three districts formed on August 15, 2003.

Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited, Jabalpur has been incorporated to undertake activities of distribution of electricity in the Eastern part of M.P. The Company invites applications from the eligible candidates for appointment of Junior Engineer(Electrical - Contract) as per the following details:
• Unreserved - 38
• SC - 13 Posts
• ST 20 Posts
• OBC - 09 Posts
Educational Qualification :
The candidate should possess a diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a University recognized by University Grants Commission or AICTE or Polytechnic or ITI, with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in case of Unreserved or OBC category candidates and 50% in case of SC / ST category candidates. Candidates having degree in same field may also apply.

Application Fee :
Application fee for Unreserved / OBC category candidates of MP domicile and candidates of all categories belonging to other states shall be Rs.300/-. SC / ST category candidates of MP domicile are exempted from this payment.
